Expanding C-TAP Processing

Expanding C-TAP Processing

Our application to join Acquiris has been officially approved by their Board of Directors. Starting September 1st, we will come on board as a Principal Member and Receiver.

What Does “Receiver” Status Mean in Practice?

Acquiris sets the C-TAP (Common Terminal Acquirer Protocol) specifications, which standardize communication between POS terminals and host servers.

Joining as a Receiver gives us the green light to build and certify our own server-side solution. Once integrated, we will be able to process transactions directly from any C-TAP compliant terminal, bypassing historical technical barriers.

Our initial rollout will focus on key markets like Belgium, where C-TAP is deeply embedded in the payments ecosystem. From there, this architecture will lay the foundation for wider European connectivity.

Simplified Cross-Border Acquiring: Businesses operating in multiple countries can consolidate their payment processing, cutting down on administrative headaches.

True Hardware Flexibility: Merchants gain the freedom to process multiple card brands and payment methods on a single terminal. There is no need to replace expensive hardware just to switch providers or add new payment types.

Looking Ahead

The real work begins now. We are ready to start building out the integration and deliver broader reach, lower friction, and better payment choices for our partners.
